Here are a few things I would like to accomplish with my team:
- Communicate often and clearly, especially team goals, project goals, etc.
- Determine the focus of the team, and set the appropriate expectations.
- Get to know each team member:
- Career aspiration (short and long term goals)
- What he/she enjoys working
- Strength and weakness
- Listen to their suggestions about the improvement to the product/team/organization/company.
- Create an enjoyable working environment for the team.
- Assist the team to achieve maximum productivity while maintaining work/life balance.
- Lead by example.
